Unfortunately, I have found an error that is a carry-over from the “In Memoriam” section of the 1946 Wizard yearbook.
The yearbook switched the identities of Paul Raupach and Willam Robertson on their photographs. The corrected information is below.

The yearbook also misidentifies Paul Raupach’s branch of service. Paul was actually a US Army paratrooper who jumped into Normandy, France on D-Day (June 6, 1944). Look for a page dedicated to Paul Raupach soon. Learn more about William Robertson here.

Remember Duane Gosslin today. Duane was a Seaman 1st Class on the destroyer USS Johnston when it was sunk by Japanese naval forces during the Battle off Samar in October 1944. Learn more about Duane here.
