On 27May1949, a bronze plaque was dedicated to the 116 Edison Alumni that died in service to the country during World War 2. The plaque includes all 116 names, and bears the following inscription:
THEY DIED FOR US
LET US LIVE FOR THEM
The plaque is located in the front entrance of the school outside of the auditorium.
On Veterans Day, 11Nov2025, 2 new bronze plaques were dedicated at Edison. A plaque to honor the 7 alumni who died in service during the Korean War, and a plaque to honor the 14 alumni who died in service during the Vietnam War. The plaques will be installed in the front hallway of the school on the same wall as the World War II plaques.
