William attended veterinary school at Michigan State College. In the morning of 10Jun1944, William graduated from college. Later that afternoon, William broke his neck in a swimming accident.
He died on 16Jun1944 as a result of his injury
William was awarded his degree posthumously.
He is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
